We are blessed to have a group of experienced, passionate and dedicated team of coaches committed to helping Crush players learn life and basketball skills, in that order, in a positive, supportive environment. We also regularly bring in high school coaches and others to share their wisdom and work with our players throughout the season.
Erik Brooks, founder of Crush, is a longtime fan and student of the game and a dedicated community servant, with a passion for helping young people. The basketball coaching bug bit Erik in 2016, when he became an assistant coach for his son’s youth basketball team, a position he would hold the next three seasons. He also began coaching his daughter, and coached the South Milwaukee Middle School eighth grade team in the winter of 2020. In the fall of 2021, he was named head coach of the St. Anthony High School varsity girls basketball team in Milwaukee, a WIAA Division 3 school.
Along the way, he has learned strategies for success on, and importantly off, the court from a number of successful, longstanding coaches and community leaders.
Erik is rooted in the South Shore. Born and raised on the South Side of Milwaukee, he and his wife, Sarah, moved to South Milwaukee in 2002 to start a family. They are raising two children (a high school junior and middle school eighth grader), and are committed to their community as public servants, small business owners, volunteers, and huge supporters of local athletics. Erik was the mayor of the City of South Milwaukee from 2014 to 2021.
Brandon Noble is entering his ninth year coaching basketball at Saint Anthony High School, his fifth year leading the varsity team, and his first year with South Shore Crush.
Coach Noble spent his entire childhood around basketball: playing in the driveway with his brother, traveling league with his friends, and on the school team at Richland Center High School. After attending UW-La Crosse and earning a degree in English Education, he moved to Milwaukee and began his teaching and coaching career.
Coach Noble specializes in coaching players with less organized basketball experience, leaning on his background in education to help teach the game while also competing at a high level.
